Britney Spears stripped down for her latest Instagram post.
The “Toxic” singer, 43, posed with her back turned to the camera, wearing thigh-high black boots and a “rose” emoji over her bottom in a nearly naked photo on Saturday, August 23. Spears restricted any comments on the Instagram post, though her latest racy photo is sure to generate discussion.
Spears tends to use her social media for most of her communication with the public these days. In March, Spears rocked a black lacy bodysuit and a camel, wide-brimmed hat in a dance video set to her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake’s 2002 song “Señorita.” (Timberlake and Spears split up in 2002 after dating for three years.)
In June, the pop icon was all smiles in photos of her reunion with her 18-year-old son Jayden. She also shares son Sean Preston, 19, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. (The father-of-six shares Kori Madison, 23, and Kaleb Michael Jackson, 21, with ex-fiancée Shar Jackson, as well as Jordan Kay, 14, and Peyton Marie, 11, with his current wife Victoria Prince. He moved the family to Hawaii in 2023.)
Federline recently confirmed that he plans to delve into misconceptions about his tumultuous two-year marriage to Spears in his upcoming memoir, You Thought You Knew.
“I achieved my biggest dreams, dealt with crushing heartbreak and endured constant ridicule, all while becoming the father my children needed as they experienced nonstop emotional turbulence,” Federline teased in a statement. “If you’ve ever had questions, you’ll find answers here.”
His publisher, the audio-first imprint Listenin, described You Thought You Knew — which is released October 21 — as an exploration of “fame, fatherhood and the private cost of public life — from one of pop culture’s most misunderstood figures.”
Another of Spears’ ex-husbands, Sam Asghari, seemingly threw shade at Federline over the memoir during a recent interview with TMZ.
“[Kevin] was a professional father, so it would be the first book that would tell you about how to be a professional father,” Asghari said with a grin on August 16.
Spears has been married three times. A brief union to childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander was annulled 55 hours after they wed at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada in January 2004.
The “Oops!… I Did It Again” musician married Federline in June 2004 after meeting three months earlier. Their sons, Sean Preston and Jayden, arrived in September 2005 and September 2006, before Spears filed for divorce in November 2006, citing irreconcilable differences at the cause of the split.
Once Spears was freed from a conservatorship that controlled much of her life for 13 years, she wed her longtime boyfriend Asghari in June 2022. The model and Traitors star subsequently announced in August 2023 that he had separated from Spears.
“After 6 years of love and commitment to each other, my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” Asghari announced via Instagram at the time. “We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always. S*** happens. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.”
Asghari revealed on the “Trading Secrets” podcast in June 2025 that he insisted on Spears signing a prenuptial agreement to protect her assets.
“I wanted her to have a prenup,” Asghari explained. “I wanted to make sure she’s protected, because throughout her life, everybody — I don’t know one person that’s ever been in her life that didn’t take advantage of her. So it’s very sad. I wanted to make sure that I’m the person that [didn’t] do that.”
Asghari is now dating real estate agent Brooke Irvine.
