Calling all Sex and the City fans! Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda (also known as Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon) took a break from filming their HBO spinoff series to hit the red carpet — and, fittingly, looked the part of their fabulous onscreen counterparts.
While the iconic trio has been busy shooting season 3 of And Just Like That, the fictional and real-life BFFs took the evening off to attend a philanthropic event, the 11th Annual Golden Heart Awards on Monday, October 21, in New York City (where else?). They rubbed elbows with designer Michael Kors, rapper Megan Thee Stallion and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
The star-studded gala honored guests, including Parker, 59, who received the Michael Kors Award for Outstanding Philanthropy. Ever the supportive (and stylish) girlfriends, Davis, 59, and Nixon, 58, looked on as SJP praised the “extraordinary institution of good” during her speech, according to Vogue.
Just as statement-making was their red-carpet attire. Parker seemed to be channeling Carrie Bradshaw in a sexy-chic lace LDB with a plunging bustier top. In true Carrie form, she cinched it with a bejeweled belt – a clever styling move every SATC purist all knows and loves.
Because it wouldn’t be a “Carrie” moment without a designer bag, Parker carried Alexander Wang’s mesh Heiress Flex purse that was completely covered with crystal embellishments.
Davis chose a polished navy A-line dress that would have looked right at home on the Upper East Side, which, of course, is where her SATC and AJLT character, Charlotte, also resides.
Always prim and proper, her look was the picture of age-appropriate elegance with a tasteful V-neckline, a full skirt that skimmed her ankles topped with a patent-leather skinny black belt.
Davis accessorized with a diamond necklace that could have easily been purchased from Charlotte’s beloved Tiffany & Co. A glittery black envelope clutch was dazzling yet demure.
Nixon, for her part, pulled a Miranda in a monochromatic neutral: a silver scalloped-lace cocktail dress and a boxy menswear-inspired gray blazer overtop with the sleeves casually pushed up.
In a study of perfect proportions, the Emmy-winning actress left the jacket unbuttoned with an long gray belt that she tucked the leftover length beneath to keep it securely in place. She matched it to sensible gray pointed pumps.
A classic Miranda fashion moment if there ever was one.
