Jazz Jennings is celebrating an impressive milestone in her weight-loss journey.

The “I Am Jazz” star recently revealed that she has lost nearly 100 pounds after almost two years of prioritizing her health.

In August 2024, the 23-year-old shared a video montage of the evolution of her fitness routine on Instagram along with the following caption.

“Two years later and almost 100 pounds lighter! I’m so proud of my progress and want to thank my family, friends and all who supported me in getting there!” she wrote.

At the beginning of the video, Jennings can be seen struggling to run and coping with aches and pains two years ago. The clip then fast forwards to the reality star now, running quickly and crushing her workout routine.

“I’m proud of my progress towards better health, but I’m still running towards more goals!” she wrote on top of the video.

Jennings ended her caption with the following reflection on her weight-loss journey.

“Good health is not a certificate you display, it is a constant effort! I still have room for improvement, but I am more motivated and inspired than I’ve been in years. Let’s keep it going!” she wrote.

How did Jennings lose nearly 100 pounds and what inspired her health transformation? Below, we’re outlining the timeline of her journey.

2021: Jennings revealed she had a binge eating disorder

A new season of “I Am Jazz” premiered in November 2021 and focused on Jennings’ weight gain and diagnosis with binge eating disorder.

Per The Cleveland Clinic, the behavioral disorder is “characterized by chronic, compulsive overeating.”

“It causes frequent episodes of binge eating — eating an unusually large quantity of food in one session and feeling unable to stop,” the website reads.

Jennings took to Instagram to address her weight gain

Before the new season of her reality show began airing, Jennings opened up about her weight gain on Instagram.

“I suffer from binge-eating disorder, a disease in which I’m not only addicted to food, but I eat it in large quantities. My binging, along with an increased appetite I experience from some of the meds I’m on, has caused me to gain almost 100 pounds in a little less than 2 years,” she captioned the post.

Jennings went on to say she was ready to “hold myself accountable.”

“I’m ready to change my ways; I’ve been saying I’m ready to turn over a new leaf, but I’m running out of trees now. I’m ready to take the initiative and create positive changes when it comes to my health and body,” she captioned the post. “I have a fabulous team supporting me, both professionals and family/friends, but at the end of the day, I have to be the one committed toward bettering myself.”

Jennings spoke to TODAY.com about her food addiction

While talking with TODAY.com about her condition, Jennings reflected on her decision to address her disorder on her show.

“I have gained 100 pounds … It’s something we discuss a lot; how my food addiction played a role in my weight gain and my mental health,” she said.

“There’s just a bunch of different things that we explore that I feel like need to be discussed, because they aren’t talked about enough and so many people struggle with these issues.”

She has shared several updates on her health transformation over the last two years

Ever since she committed to prioritizing her health, Jennings has shared several updates with her fans along the way. In 2022, she posted a photo of herself post-workout and added the following caption: “Feeling happy with my #progress !!💪.”

She likes working out with her siblings

Exercising with a partner is always more fun, so it’s not surprising to see that Jennings enjoys working out with her siblings. In 2021, she shared a photo of herself with her family on the pickle ball court.

“Playing sports is one of my favorite ways of working out, and I’m lucky to have teammates who I can play with!” she captioned the post.

In 2022, Jennings underwent “boot camp” training with her brother Sander. The video showed the pair doing a series of exercises, including planks, jumping jacks and wall sits.

“We are all on different health journeys, but starting somewhere is the first step ❤️,” she captioned the post.

Jennings’ father has also been supportive of her health journey

Jennings kicked off 2024 by sharing a video of herself running with her father, Gregory.

“There she is….the 2024 JAZZZZ” — @gregory_scott_4 My dad is the BEST. So supportive and empathetic. Thanks for always being there for me. Now I just have to be consistent in order to reach my health goals! Baby steps💪,” she captioned the post.

Jennings has shared many body-positive messages in recent years

While reflecting on her body transformation in June 2024, Jennings said her weight loss and newfound focus on her health had “created a shift within.”

“The first step toward improving your well-being is caring. I finally care about myself after years of neglecting my health. I had truly let myself go when it came to eating. I am so proud of my weight loss, and I feel my confidence radiates through,” she captioned the post.

Jennings ended her post by sharing some motivational advice for her followers.

“Overall, take care of yourself and do things that make you happy and light. We can always strive to be better, and choosing to be the best version of yourself allows you to soar to heights higher than ever before,” she wrote.

During the same month, Jennings shared a video of herself and her brother Sander confidently showing off their physiques.

“Every body is beautiful ❤️To look at someone’s body and say ‘this is not beautiful’ is a reflection of social conditioning. You weren’t born saying that some bodies are not attractive. You were taught it. We all were. To distinguish one body as being ‘better’ is a societal construct of beauty standards,” she captioned the post.

“STOP JUDGING. WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL. EVERY BODY IS BEAUTIFUL. Let’s always respect each other, our bodies, and the autonomy we have when it comes to how we care for ourselves,” she continued.

She showed off a 70-pound weight loss earlier this year

In January 2024, Jennings shared a weight loss progress update and revealed that she had lost 70 pounds.

“Feeling happier and healthier than I’ve been in years. I still have a ways to go, but I’m so proud to finally be taking the necessary steps toward bettering my mind, body, and spirit,” she captioned a photo of herself at the beach.

She showed off a slimmer figure in July

Jennings impressed her followers when she posted a photo of herself wearing a bathing suit and lounging in a hammock in July.

“Confidence is knowing what you’re fully capable of without feeling a need to prove it,” she wrote.

Social media users were quick to notice her slimmer figure.

“You are inspiring me to get up and start exercising,” one commented.
