Brooklyn Beckham is opening up about his family feud in a scathing social media statement slamming his parents, Victoria Beckham and David Beckham.

Brooklyn, 26, took to Instagram on Monday, January 19, claiming — among other things — that his mom danced inappropriately with him on his wedding day with Nicola Peltz Beckham.

“My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song,” he alleged in the posts, shared via his Instagram Stories. “In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.”

Brooklyn also claimed that Victoria, 51, suddenly refused to make a wedding dress for Nicola, 31, right before their nuptials in 2022, forcing the bride to find an alternative gown in the 11th hour.

Brooklyn Beckham is breaking his silence on his estranged relationship with his family, including parents David and Victoria Beckham, amid his marriage to wife Nicola Peltz Beckham. “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, […]

“My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped. My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress,” he claimed.

Elsewhere on his Instagram Story, Brookyln shared where he currently stands with his parents. “I do not want to reconcile with my family,” he wrote. “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

He continued: “For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into. Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”

Us Weekly has reached out to representatives for both David and Victoria for comment.

In October, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Brookyln had “no interest” in reconciling with his family.

“Brooklyn has no interest in mending things at this time,” the insider said at the time. “He’s really focused on living a peaceful, drama-free life with Nicola. They’ve built their own world together and are very content in it. They want to let things settle naturally rather than trying to fix something that still feels tense.”

Brooklyn and Peltz first had issues with his family in 2022 ahead, and during, their wedding. It was reported that Peltz left her reception crying after Marc Anthony called Victoria “the most beautiful woman in the room.”

In May 2025, the couple skipped David’s 50th birthday party. Brooklyn clarified what happened in his post, sharing that they still traveled to London for the event.

Brooklyn Beckham’s parents, David and Victoria Beckham, were not in attendance when their 26-year-old son and his wife, Nicola Peltz, renewed their vows, Us Weekly can confirm. A source close to Brooklyn and Peltz, 30, confirmed to Us on Saturday, August 2, that pair had a ceremony “to celebrate their love and commitment and to create […]

“We still travelled to London for my dad’s birthday and were rejected for a week as we waited in our hotel room trying to plan quality time with him,” he shared. “He refused all of our attempts, unless it was at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras at every corner. When he finally agreed to see me, it was under the condition that Nicola wasn’t invited. It was a slap in the face. Later, when my family travelled to LA, they refused to see me at all.”

An insider told Us that it was “heartbreaking” for Victoria and David “to not have all their children together during huge press events for the family, like Victoria’s documentary release.”

The source added, “It was such a big moment for the family, and she wanted everyone together to celebrate it.” (In October, Victoria celebrated the release of the Spice Girls Netflix series.)
