Kevin Jonas admitted that being a girl dad can sometimes mean getting sucked into the latest toy crazes.

The singer, 37, shared during an appearance on the “Mythical Kitchen” podcast on Thursday, July 31 that he’s currently “very deep” into the Labubu toy phase thanks to his daughters. (Kevin shares daughters Alena, 11, and Valentina, 9, with wife Danielle Jonas.)

Kevin explained that while the Labubus obsession isn’t personally setting him back financially, one of his daughters, who he did not name, has been spending up big.

“I have not spent a single dollar on Labubus – my daughter has,” Kevin shared. “So she saved up all her money. She buys these things on StockX with her debit card. And she’s like, negotiating on there, like putting in bids. She’s like, ‘Dad, it’s not really worth $75 but with shipping it comes up to $85. What do you think I should do?’ I said don’t buy it.

Kevin added that his daughter typically agrees to hold back on the purchase but then “it shows up” after she seemingly changes her mind and buys it anyway.

Earlier in the podcast, he also shared another light-hearted experience he came across as a parent. He revealed his daughters discovered Marshmallow Fluff, a product they apparently loved so much that had to tell them it was no longer sold.

Kevin admitted he has no qualms about taking liberties with the truth when speaking to his kids, joking he “lies all the time.”

Kevin appeared on the podcast alongside his brothers Nick, 32, and Joe, 35, who are both also fathers.

Nick shares Malti Marie, 3, with wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas, while Joe coparents with his ex-wife Sophie Turner. Joe and Turner share daughters Willa, born in 2020 and Delphine, born in 2022.

For his part, Nick admitted that becoming a parent has shifted his world view and the way he navigates his career.

“I think having kids made me a lot more focused on building something that they would be really proud of both from a creative standpoint but also just setting up life,” he explained. “You’re met with the reality that this little human being will depend on you at least until they’re 18 hopefully. For the rest of their life. And that responsibility is a profound thing. And prior to that I was just focused on benchmarks of success.”

The “Chains” singer added, “And now I have a more tangible thing to look at and base my decision making off of.”
