Cartwright, 36, confirmed that legalities were yet to be formalized while appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday, July 22, after host Andy Cohen, 57, recalled the timeline that Taylor, 46, provided during his own June 17 WWHL appearance.

“He [Taylor] said your divorce was set to be finalized July 21st, which was yesterday,” Cohen was seen telling Cartwright in a clip of the interview shared via X that evening. “Are you now officially divorced?”

Cartwright responded, “Unfortunately no,” before being pressed to explain the situation.

“We both, like, didn’t send in all of our stuff at the right time,” she said with an awkward laugh, which drew a confused expression from Cohen. “It’s a lot of stuff that happens so October 15 is the new date and it’s going to happen.”

Months before officially filing for divorce from Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright exclusively told Us Weekly what would push her to sever marital ties. “We need to have a serious conversation,” Cartwright, 35, shared in an April Us cover story about where she stood at the time with Taylor, 45. “Every time I try to talk […]

Us Weekly confirmed on August 27, 2024, that Cartwright filed to divorce Taylor, listing their official date of separation as January 24 and noting “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind the filing.

The filing arrived just days after Taylor completed a 30-day in-patient treatment plan for his mental health struggles, as confirmed via a statement to Us from a representative for Taylor at the time.

Us also recently exclusively confirmed that Taylor will be stepping away from The Valley ahead of season 3 of Bravo’s hit reality series. “After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I’ll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley,” a July 16 statement to Us read. “Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting. Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself — especially for our son, Cruz.”

Cartwright is yet to publicly address Taylor’s decision to depart the series, but sat by quietly as her Valley costar Zack Wickham addressed the news on Tuesday’s episode of WWHL. Asked whether Wickham felt “at all vindicated” by Taylor’s departure, Wickham, 37, said he didn’t because he wants Taylor “to get better at the end of the day.”

In a message directed to Taylor, Wickham then said, “Don’t fake it, actually do the work,” which Cartwright nodded to before turning her head to face further questions from Cohen.

Cartwright also discussed her romantic life during the appearance, confirming that she’s “single as a Pringle” when asked by an audience member to comment on where she currently stands.
