Before donning dancing shoes, Anna Sorokin will have to slip on her ankle bracelet.

The notorious con artist headlines a motley crew of pop culture figures such as one-time NBA drama king Dwight Howard, actress Tori Spelling and “The Bachelorette” lead Jenn Tran on the next edition of “Dancing with the Stars,” the ABC competition program announced Wednesday.

Sorokin, best known as a phony German heiress who called herself “Anna Delvey,” will apparently be allowed to dance while under house arrest as she fights deportation.

Tales of Sorokin’s scamming as a pretend socialite who charmed her way into elite New York City circles was dramatized on the popular 2022 Netflix limited series “Inventing Anna.”

She spent more than three years behind bars for fraud before being released in October 2022. She’s currently under house arrest while facing deportation proceedings.

It wasn’t immediately clear which government agency would have needed to sign off on Sorokin’s participation on “DWTS.”

Reps for the scammer-turned-dancer and “DWTS” could not be immediately reached for comment on Wednesday.

Unsurprisingly, athletes have always fared well on the dance competition show.

Previous winners including basketball player Iman Shumpert, figure skaters Adam Rippon, Kristi Yamaguchi and Meryl Davis, football players Donald Driver, Rashad Jennings, Hines Ward and Emmitt Smith, gymnasts Laurie Hernandez and Shawn Johnson, race car driver Helio Castroneves and speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno.

Howard played 18 seasons in the NBA and was one of the game’s greatest rebounders, grabbing 14,627 boards, good for No. 10 on the all-time list.

But as great a player as the 6-foot-10 Atlanta native was, he never fit in well with teammates and coaches, perhaps explaining how one of the generation’s greatest talents made his way to seven different NBA teams, including three different stints with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Television viewers will also be very familiar with this season’s “DWTS” contestants Tran and Joey Graziadei.

Tran a runner-up in Season 28 of “The Bachelor,” which featured the tennis player Graziadei.

Tran was then elevated to be star of “The Bachelorette” and Season 21 of that franchise wrapped up on Tuesday in heartbreaking fashion.

She took the unusual step of proposing to Devin Strader who said yes, only to dump her over the phone days later and leaving the aspiring physician assistant as single as when she started the two dating shows.

One of the show’s other major names is Spelling, the former “Beverly Hills 90210” star and daughter of famed television producer Aaron Spelling.
