A pigheaded volleyball coach is likely perusing LinkedIn this weekend, after he told female student-athletes any future sexual assaults perpetrated against them would be their fault.

Park City, Utah, school officials placed Kai Nielsen on leave while the allegations against him are probed by the district.

Nielsen, who coaches high school girls, was barred from the team’s practices and games while the situation is investigated.

The inappropriate and stunningly ignorant comment was allegedly made as Nielsen spoke to the students about the issue of accountability, reports the Salt Lake Tribune.

“If you are sexually assaulted, it’s your fault,” Nielsen allegedly said.

A teacher confirmed to the paper Nielsen made the disturbing claim.

A parent whose child was present for Nielsen’s speech first complained to district leaders.

An email to parents, reviewed by the Tribune, said it was unclear how long the probe would take.
